Second State Press
Crane Arts Building
1400 N. American Street
Philadelphia, PA 19122
Second State Press is pleased to present “Edge vs Oblivion” by Francine K. Affourtit, the 2014 recipient of the Cindi R. Ettinger scholarship. The works on view in the exhibition were created during or inspired by her month-long residency at Second State Press this past July. Francine’s proposal to investigate strategies for producing large-scale woodcut prints from a small press bed developed into an exploration of the conceptual pairing of method and form.
